How much did you shadow physicians?I shadowed three physicians before I entered medical school in a number of settings (clinic and hospital.) VERY IMPORTANT to do as medical school is very difficult and you have to have a lot of motivation.read other replies on this topic
How much did you volunteer?Quite a bit everywhere I could. Medical and Non-medicaly related. I didn't feel as though it was a chore, but more an extension of what I wanted to eventually do.read other replies on this topic
What clinical exposure did you have?I worked as a PCA in the Dean Health System in Madison, Wisconsin for two years rooming patients and helping with outpatient surgeries. This is an excellent program for anyone interested in medical school becuase they train you for free, and you get excellent clinical experience.read other replies on this topic

Do you have any leadership experience?Various committess and camp counselling opportunities I found online. Just go searching, there is a lot of stuff for an individual who wants to volunteer all over the world.read other replies on this topic
What suggestions do you have for the personal statement?Get a number of really good writers/editors to help you with the statement. Their advice is usually worth more than gold.read other replies on this topic

Describe your pre-med schedule, typical day and weekI am a fairly non-stop individual. I don't like to be bored so most of my time was filled with outdoors adventure stuff, studying, and work. I am still trying not to forget those I love in the world. Their company is priceless.read other replies on this topic
Did you do any other extracurricular activities?I played on the football team at school for a year until I had to leave with injuries. After that, a conflict resolution group, a freshman orientation group, and a mentoring group took up most of my sophmore year. A lot of running, biking, and swimming to round it off.
